so many feels the moment Jamie sees Jack

Watching Rise of the Guardians for the first time… I’m not sure how popular it got, but damn do I see the flaws of the movie already. oAo;; It could do with the fact that I’m not a kid anymore, but the best animated movies are ones people of any age can watch and enjoy I think. The animation and detail to everything is exceptional, but the plot doesn’t draw you in that well. Even though I love the character designs, the characters themselves just feel very…flat—granted, they’re representations of ‘Christmas’ and the like so I guess they wouldn’t get much development. When Tooth lost everything and even when Sandy “died” I just had an ‘ok das cool’ expression on. Even Jack’s little explosions of feeling for “SANDY NOOO” or “THE FAIRIES” just seem to come out of nowhere. It’s not very dramatic at all; there’s not much build-up for you to feel much of anything for the characters. Honestly I’m pretty bored of it and I’m only halfway through the film… And Piiitch, please give me at least one reason to like you before the end of this film.
I’ll watch to the very end because of the godly animation, but I see where most of the budget was put into. The rest is very lacking.
1. Believing negative, unproductive and self-defeating thoughts. These include thoughts like “I could never … I’m not good enough to … I don’t deserve to … I’m useless at …”
2. Blaming others. It’s true that other people can have a huge affect on what happens to us, and where we are in life. But we give them too much power if we let them set our course, and see ourselves as victims, and act like we’ve no say.
3. Taking ourselves too seriously. It’s important to work hard and to have integrity – but we also have to laugh and enjoy ourselves as well. Also, decide to let things go, and put up with some mistakes. You’re not a perfect person and, the truth is - that’s OK!
4. Being afraid to take some risks or to live close to the edge. To have an interesting life you must leave your comfort zone and say “yes” to some new chances and great opportunities. It will broaden your perspective, reduce anxiety, and provide you with new options and possibilities.
5. Being afraid of change. It doesn’t take much effort to stick with what you know. The unknown can seem daunting as we don’t know where that goes. But we grow as individuals and lead a richer life if we learn to accept changes, instead of being scared.

아리가또고자이마스 - This title literally reads as ‘Arigato Gozaimasu,’ and is apparently what Koreans think Japanese music sounds like. Give it a listen, you won’t regret it.
